Orthopaedic Clinic II (30 beds) deals with the spectrum of acute and chronic pain syndromes in all ages of patient, particularly wear to intervertebral disks, bones and joints, rheumatism, osteoporosis, neuropathic conditions, post-operative spinal pain, post-amputation pain and complex musculoskeletal and non-musculoskeletal pain syndromes. The Clinic has been specially certified for the treatment of acute and chronic pain (in accordance with the certification guidelines of DGOOC, BVO/U,  IGOST). Further service is simultaneous application of different treatments (multimodal treatment-concepts) for acute and chronic pain disorder of all age groups. Abut 1.200 acute inpatient and about 1.700 ambulant patients are annually treated. Regular interdisciplinary pain conferences are held and these are certified by the Nordrhein Medical Association with 4 professional development points (Category C).
